As any of our clients would tell you, Kevin (aka “The Geek”) takes a hands-on approach to the work of finding your ideal home. And more often than not, that work extends beyond the final sale to making sure the house — and yard — is everything you want it to be. But sometimes I worry that he’s having too much fun, like when he recently cleared this big tree!
There is nothing on this earth that compares with the power of holding a chainsaw in your hands as it cuts through a thick dead stump of wood. Why wait around for a landscape contractor on a calendar when you can get some early prep work done and have fun while you do it? I love everything about autumn, but my favorite thing has to be kicking up a pile of red, yellow, orange-y brown leaves and hearing them snap, crackle, and pop underneath my feet. It makes me feel like a kid again, even just for a moment, and you can’t trade that for anything.
I cannot tell a lie. I live for pumpkin spice. Lattes, muffins, waffles, milkshakes. I will literally try anything with that precious taste that’s not quite pumpkin, not super spicy, and all things delicious. Of course, this obsession has a bad effect on my health, so I have to learn to control the urge.

According to research, taking the time to notice nature can be just as beneficial for people who don’t feel a sense of kinship or oneness with the environment. But how could you not when you look at these trees?
Maybe it’s just the holiday season, but we seem to be having a lot of run-ins with trees recently.
