City Limits

Some places simply have a way of making you stay awhile, and Burlingame is one of them. From its canopy of century-old trees to its lively downtown lined with independent boutiques, cafés, and acclaimed restaurants, the city offers an effortless blend of sophistication and small-town warmth. Neighbors know each other, parks buzz with activity, and every stroll along Burlingame Avenue feels like discovering something new. It's this rare combination of charm, convenience, and community that has earned Burlingame its reputation as one of the Peninsula's most desirable places to live.

Burlingame's story began as part of the historic Rancho Buri Buri land grant before evolving into an elegant residential retreat in the late 19th century. Wealthy San Franciscans built grand estates here, drawn by the mild climate and easy rail access to the city. Incorporated in 1908, Burlingame has grown into a vibrant community that celebrates its heritage while embracing modern living. Today, its historic neighborhoods, iconic tree-lined streets, and thriving local businesses continue to define the city's unmistakable character.
