Hawaii for the Holidays!

We’re on the road and working in Hawaii while enjoying the holiday season! If you’re looking for a vacation home or a relocation opportunity in the Rainbow State, there are a few things you need to know…

70 Lorange Pl, Kailua, HI 96734

Many homes incorporate traditional Hawaiian architecture, like open floor plans, large verandas (aka “lanais”), and natural materials like wood and stone to blend with the natural surroundings.

Hawaii has a tropical climate, so homes are built to withstand the elements like flooding, humidity, and pests. The mild climate also lends itself to indoor-outdoor living, with large windows and sliding glass doors.

Hawaiian homes often reflect the diverse cultural influences of the islands, including Polynesian, Asian, and Western elements.

On the Road: Tuscany

Greetings from Florence, Italy! While enjoying a much-needed vacation to close out the summer, we were blown away by the richness of culture and architecture. It made us want to look for Tuscany in the Bay Area. What we found were these marble and brick villas with eye-popping price tags!

Client Milestones

We met Benjamin and Golnaz in 2020 and helped them buy their first home together. This week, they got married in Mendocino and invited us to be a part of the ceremony. Kevin was the wedding officiant, and Bora served as a flower cat. The weather was amazing, and we were surrounded by friendly people and natural beauty. We’re so grateful to be included in our clients’ life milestones!

On the Road: Jacksonville

Early in the new year, we paid a visit to Jacksonville, Florida, one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and toured new developments in different areas. One of those areas is Nocatee, a 6,000-acre development with more than 10,000 housing units located in Ponte Vedra, a short drive from Jacksonville. The development also features commercial space — retail and offices — schools, and parks.

The 3,700 sq ft home pictured here was built by David Weekley Homes and is listed at an accessible price of $1.167M. The median home price per square foot in Jacksonville is around $200, compared to an average of $900 in Silicon Valley (Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Francisco counties). But remember, we get what we pay for in the Bay Area — and the grass is always greener, as they say…
