Happiest Holidays!

We want to wish you and your loved ones nothing but joy and happiness in the spirit of the season…

This year for our holiday card photo, we visited the El Capitan Hotel in the quaint and quiet Central Valley city of Merced and posed for some candid shots with their famous oversized nutcrackers. As you can see, we had a lot of fun with the photo shoot.

We encourage you to stop by the El Capitan when you’re passing through town. And send us photos from your favorite holiday spots!

On the Road: Land of Lakes

We’re so excited to be back on the road! This week, Kevin and I are visiting northern Minnesota and Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in North America — and the world. As you may already know, Minnesota is known as the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”, and folks around here take a lot of pride in their bodies of water. We enjoyed a chance to get to know some of them and learn more about this region at the northern edge of the United States.

Weekly Gratitude: Mother Nature

“May the stars carry your sadness away, may the flowers fill your heart with beauty, may hope forever wipe away your tears.” - Dan George

Recently, we had a chance to travel to some beautiful places across California — from the coast to the mountains. We felt rejuvenated by the wonder of mother nature! And you don’t have to be a “nature lover” to reap the advantages of living in this amazing state.

According to research, taking the time to notice nature can be just as beneficial for people who don’t feel a sense of kinship or oneness with the environment. But how could you not when you look at these trees?
