Hot spot for hot pot

We hope our holiday card finds you well. Because we can all use a good smile these days, we thought we’d share some “behind-the-scenes” photos. We wish you an ocean of happiness and a blissful new year!
With many employers incentivizing their teams to return to in-person work, more and more workers are opting to stay home — even quitting their jobs in some cases. So what would get you back to the office?
After three years of working from home, I’ve been feeling a little Zoomed out and detached from the real world. I thrive on the energy of other people, and pandemic life has been a struggle. Don’t get me wrong! It’s been super fun spending more time with Kevin and Bora. But occasionally, it helps to get out of the house and into a space with like-minded teammates working toward the same goal.
The past few years have been rough, but like any tragedy, a lot of good has come out of the bad. When COVID first hit, I had a feeling we were in for the long haul, so I invested in all the bells and whistles for our home office: high-powered WiFi, a top-notch coffee maker, and one of those ring lights for slick Zoom visuals. If you want me back at the office, you better offer great snacks!
Fire up the grill, crank up the homemade ice cream, and get out some lawn chairs to watch a big fireworks show with the whole family. It’s time to celebrate our Independence Day! What’s your favorite tradition for our national birthday party?
After three years stuck inside hiding from the pandemic, I can’t wait to get out and cheer for a big patriotic parade, with floats and classic cars and VIPs you’ve never heard of waving to a bunch of people they’ve never met. We recommend the Rose, White & Blue Parade along the Alameda in San José!
By now, if you’ve been reading these emails, you should know where to find me on the 4th: watching a pile of mouth-watering meat as it slowly sizzles and pops on my barbecue. You can keep the parades and the fireworks. They’re fun to watch, but I’d rather be eating! Who’s coming to dinner?
It’s hard to believe that the longest day of the year has already come and gone, but the solstice arrived like clockwork on Wednesday. So Bring on the parades and homemade ice cream and (legal) fireworks. It’s Summertime!
