Cookies & Clients

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the 47th Annual Los Altos Festival of Lights parade. We were overjoyed to see many friends and clients stop by a reception at the Los Altos Compass office to share the warm and cozy holiday spirit over drinks, tea, and of course, cookies!

I love entertaining. That’s why it’s been so invigorating to get back to live events and interact face-to-face with friends, family, clients, and neighbors. But we also know illness lurks around every corner, so this is a friendly reminder to get your flu shot and COVID vaccine!

In case you missed this year’s parade, you can save the date for the next one on December 1, 2024. No one knows what the next year will bring, but if it’s anything like recent history, it’s sure to be exciting and unpredictable. So hold onto your hats and buckle up for a wild ride!

We can't wait to share the joy of the season with you and your loved ones. See you there?

WHEN: Sunday, November 26, 4:00-6:00pm

WHERE: Compass Los Altos, 167 S. San Antonio Road, Suite 1

Happy 4th of July!

Fire up the grill, crank up the homemade ice cream, and get out some lawn chairs to watch a big fireworks show with the whole family. It’s time to celebrate our Independence Day! What’s your favorite tradition for our national birthday party?

CHIC (Pearl)

After three years stuck inside hiding from the pandemic, I can’t wait to get out and cheer for a big patriotic parade, with floats and classic cars and VIPs you’ve never heard of waving to a bunch of people they’ve never met. We recommend the Rose, White & Blue Parade along the Alameda in San José!

GEEK (Kevin)

By now, if you’ve been reading these emails, you should know where to find me on the 4th: watching a pile of mouth-watering meat as it slowly sizzles and pops on my barbecue. You can keep the parades and the fireworks. They’re fun to watch, but I’d rather be eating! Who’s coming to dinner?

Happy Pride Month!

Throughout June, we’re honoring our LGBTQ+ sisters and brothers as they continue the fight for true equality. We are proud to stand with you during #PrideMonth!

If you’re looking for opportunities to wave your flag and celebrate the wonderful diversity that our unique region has to offer, head over to Silicon Valley Pride for a calendar of block parties, drag brunches, parades, festivals, and more.

Chic vs. Geek: Love Where You Live

It’s the holiday season, and that means a visit to the Los Altos Festival of Lights. We both love this annual celebration – for different reasons, of course!

CHIC (PEARL)

Every year around this time, we look forward to attending the Festival of Lights Parade in Los Altos. Unfortunately, COVID kept us from holding a festival last year, so we knew the 2021 edition would be extra special. It got even more special when I got to ride on a Compass-themed “float” in the parade!

GEEK (KEVIN)

So what was I doing while Pearl was having all the fun? Taking these wonderful photos to document the occasion! Seriously, though, I love seeing everyone in our community join in the spirit of the season. It’s just another reminder of how awesome it is to live where we live. Get out and enjoy it!
