Chill vibes.
/It’s been unseasonably cool around the Bay, but we’re not complaining. Be sure to get out and enjoy this wonderful weather while it lasts!

Where else in the world can you step out of your home and into a redwood forest straight out of a fairy tale? Living by the Bay, we’re spoiled with parks, trails, and open spaces. We owe it to ourselves to take the time to enjoy it!
With the summer solstice arriving on Thursday, we’re gearing up for the longest day of the year and debating the best backyard traditions to enjoy with family and friends!
If you read our posts regularly, you know I love to entertain. So this summer, you’ll find me setting up the string lights, popping a bottle of sparkling wine, and calling some friends for a backyard soiree. It’s my way of celebrating this place we call home, where you can sit outside at night in late June and not get cold!
I’ll bet you thought I was going to go with barbecue. Okay, so I’m going with barbecue. I mean, what else is there to do when the sun is out until 8:30pm and you have a few pounds of meat in the fridge that somebody (not saying who) brought home from Costco? Clean your grill, fire up the coals, and let the sizzling commence!
After a weekend of open houses at our new listing, we’re ready for an opportunity to reset. What are you looking forward to about the Spring Equinox?
It’s been a rainy winter, and I’m ready for some sunshine! Monday was a nice teaser, but it looks like we’ll have to wait for a real heat wave since the forecast calls for another wet weekend. In the meantime, I’ll get my sunglasses ready.
As you’d expect, I’m already feeling the urge to reorganize the garage, clean out the closets, and upgrade outdoor lighting. But first, I need a break — a spring break. Maybe we’ll get in the car and take a drive up the coast. Or we could just sleep!
Who doesn’t love an extra day off at the end of the weekend, especially when there’s so much to get done before the springtime thaw! How did you spend your Presidents’ Day?
I spent most of my Monday showing homes to prospective buyers. I guess you might call this work. For me it’s a labor of love, and it’s great to see buyers coming back to the market after a slow holiday season. At the end of the day, we treated ourselves to a hike in the Windy Hill Preserve!
If you know me, you’d probably guess that I used the extra day to get projects done around the house. And normally you’d be right. But just this one time, I got some extra sleep and binge watched classic TV shows until Pearl dragged me out of bed for a sunset hike and some photos!
