Don't forget to Spring forward!

Don’t forget to wind all your clocks ahead one hour at 2am Sunday morning. Of course, most of our watches and devices update automatically. But it always freaks us out when the coffee maker goes on early!

Leap Seconds

Did you know? What we experience as Coordinated Universal Time (or UTC) is an atomic time scale based on the performance of atomic clocks and more stable than astronomical time (or UT1), which is based on the Earth's irregular rotational rate. Whenever the difference between UTC and UT1 approaches 0.9 seconds, a “leap” second is added to correct for it. Learn more from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Don't forget to fall back!

In the digital age, we’ve gotten used to clocks and watches automatically adjusting for Daylight Savings, which ends early Sunday morning. But don’t forget to wind back any analog clocks or devices that aren’t connected to the internet!
