Chic vs. Geek: Prep for Profit

We’re supposed to stay six feet apart from anyone outside our bubble. But that means we have to entertain ourselves without driving each other nuts. Here’s how we do it!

CHIC (PEARL)

It may be a little chilly, but when the sun is out, it pays to get some work done in the yard and improve your curb appeal. Update your lawn with fresh sod, prune those trees and shrubs, winter-ize your sprinkler system, clear rain gutters, fix broken pathways and railings, or push back on Daylight Savings with an outdoor lighting system. And if you have a green thumb, evergreen potted trees add a pop of seasonal color by the front door!

GEEK (KEVIN)

I’m all about staying inside in the cold winter months and finding ways to keep the cold out! Clean and inspect your fireplace and chimney for cracks or buildup – even if you don’t use it. It’s also a good idea to check your furnace and replace the air filter once a year. Tired of drafts? Install storm doors and seal cracks around windows.
