Chic vs. Geek: COVID Road Trip

How did we stay safe on our recent road trip despite a spike in the coronavirus pandemic?

CHIC (PEARL)

After three months of SIP, we decided to travel via four wheels and camp in National Parks. It was an easy decision since we can pack much more of our own (properly sanitized) goods, avoid airports entirely, and stay out of close proximity to anyone we don’t know. And of course, we remember to wear our masks whenever we get out of the car!

Part of the joy of exploring Mother Nature is experiencing new and beautiful views, so our trip has included a lot of hiking and sleeping in a tent. Of course, we’re careful to stay on the marked paths laid out by wonderful park rangers, and we absolutely avoid the temptation to hike off-trail and camp in unfamiliar or unmarked areas.
