Friday Gratitude: Protecting the Planet

Wildfires from plane.jpg

The other day, I received this photo from a friend in Colorado. He was flying high above us, and my first impression was the breathtaking view. But then I saw the smoke rising from wildfires and collecting in the sky, and I remembered that living on Earth is a true blessing. We owe it to our planet to take good care of her. I am so grateful that my friends and family are safe during the fires. We hope you are staying safe, too!

The Registrar of Voters wants you to exercise your civic duty without worrying about getting sick. That’s why they’re implementing a robust plan to keep voting centers safe with socially distanced voting booths, one-way entrances and exits, and plenty of hand sanitizer. San José Spotlight has more.

Have you already voted? We’ll send a pair of these fancy VOTE masks to the first five people who send us an email!

More than 40,000 people die of breast cancer every year — a number that’s unchanged over the past 20 years. This horrible disease affects us all. Whether it’s a personal battle or a loved one’s fight, we unite in our collective effort to build awareness and help our fighters, survivors, and supporters overcome and thrive.
